TRE 3D Print Academy Centre is Malaysia’s first and biggest academy centre to promote STEM education using 3D printing technology, focusing on helping kids from 7-12 years old in developing strong passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business and Arts. We believe the concentration of our efforts in perfecting and delivering STEMBA contents oriented by 3D printing will nurture generations of tech-driven talents in the next 10 – 20 years.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated science teacher who has experience in mentoring kids from 7-12 years old to join our team. The STEM Specialist will play a crucial role in demonstrating key scientific principles in our workshops to children, assisting in the making of technology toolkits and developing innovative programs for our students in line with chief instructor’s guidance.

The successful candidate will bring expertise in physics, chemistry, mathematics and a passion for arts into the designing of TRE 3D Print’s workshops’ contents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct One-Stop Tinkerer workshops, demonstrate the key scientific principles embedded with the program design.
• Conduct Seasonal workshops, fulfilling the monthly themed programs and communicating the making of all the take-home goods to our students.
• Produce student reports regarding students' learning progress, identify student’s learning archetypes and inform Chief Instructor of the changes required in teaching to maximize students’ learning experience.
• Run educational tradeshows in conjunction with external organizations, prepare checklist for tradeshow items, physically attend tradeshows, and assist kids in utilizing our demo tools for their experience.
• Involve in program designs, propose new contents to push the boundary of our education scopes within STEMBA framework.
• Attend corporate visits organized through TRE 3D Print’s industrial networks, learn and be exposed to industrial environments from time to time, gather frontier industrial knowledge and realign our program contents to reflect the latest technology knowledge.

Preferred qualifications

• STPM/Diploma degree/Bachelor's degree with a science and technology-related field of focus.
• Must be fluent in Mandarin and English.

Preferred experience

• Have worked with kids from 7 – 12 years old.
• Have worked in the education sector for at least 1 year.
• Have had experience in education content developments.
